This museum features Kalgoorlie Boulders railway history museum. The Boulder City Station was once part of the busiest railway network in Western Australia. It is now the only surviving train station of the Loopline Railway, which began operating in 1897.

Take a trip out to Lake Douglas where you can collect your own quartz to pound using a dolly pot. Then using gold pans you may find yourself some GOLD!

Kalgoorlie Consolidate Gold Mines (KCGM) Mine Tour

A guided tour of KCGM’s operating mine (Super Pit).
Kalgoorlie Charters is sub-contracted by KCGM to provide bus and guide.
A manifest of all people attending the tour must be handed in and sent to KCGM before tour can commence. Schools must be on time or tour will be cancelled.
All visitors need to wear enclosed shoes and long pants and long sleeved shirt
KCGM Superpit viewing platform

Gaze in awe at the largest gold open cut mine in the Southern Hemisphere where dump trucks look like dinky toys. Pit blasts may be seen but will vary each day. Ring Kalgoorlie Boulder Visitor Centre to confirm the blast time on the day (9021 1966) Self guided.
Kalgoorlie Urban Land Care Group/Karlkula Park

A guided walk of Karlkurla Bush land Park offering specialized activities such as:

Imagine what Kalgoorlie-Boulder was like before the discovery of gold and soon after gold was discovered. Explore the streets of Kalgoorlie-Boulder that includes 2 trails:
- Kalgoorlie Urban Trail: Town Hall, Paddy Hannan Statue, St Barbara’s Square and turn of the century buildings.
- Boulder Urban Trail: Boulder Town Hall including the Goatcher Curtain, Metropole hotel and turn of the century buildings.

Visit Kalgoolie’s 100 year old water reservoir at Mt Charlotte, where permanent water is piped to the Goldfields. There is a great view of the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and surrounds. A Water Corporation guide may be arranged to describe to students current and past water usage and the history of the pipeline. Self guided.
Royal Flying Doctor Service

While visiting the Royal Flying Doctor Service, groups first watch an eight minute video about the contemporary flying doctor followed by a short question and answer session, then out to the hangar and take a look at a medically fitted out aircraft. The newly furbished centre offers interactive displays and the tour finishes with a look at the memorabilia displays and a well stocked gift shop.
