Pemberton

Pemberton Camp  is one of seven Fairbridge’s Camp’s, located throughout Western Australia. Originally
designed so that government school students could extend their educational opportunities outside the regular school setting, the Camp is now available to all schools and community groupsPemberton Camp  offers exciting programs which motivate children of all ages and help to develop their self-esteem, teamwork and co-operative skills.

At Pemberton Camp we take a personal approach, providing a welcoming touch full of fun activities and learning, within a safe and secure environment.  We provide a one stop booking process for all meals, accommodation, activities and excursions to make your camp planning easier.

Mountain Bikes

The mountain biking program is designed to offer a selection of rides with the most popular in the Pemberton’s Mountain Bike Park, situated amongst the Karri Forest overlooking the Pemberton Pool and adjacent to the Camp .Other rides include Big Brook Dam are suitable for different abilities and year groups.

Canoeing & Rafting

Students can enjoy canoeing using Canadian canoes (Wobbygongs) with supervised instruction undertaken on Big Brook Dam or alternatively they can build their owns rafts from tyres and pipes and then test their construction as they set sail on a maiden voyage.

Bushwalking

A variety of  bush walks offers the walker a variety of vegetation types, terrains, from old railway tracks, old logging roads to narrow windy tracks alongside the Lefroy rook.  Climb the huge mobile sand dunes of Yeagarup for a spectacular view, then roll down to the bottom.  Kite flying on the sand dunes is a great team activity and in summer a swim at Yeagarup Lake is an excellent way to finish the walk. The Gloucester Walk through the Eastbrook Valley offers walkers a burst of colour with its abundance of wildflowers.

Manjimup Heritage Park

The Manjimup Heritage Park provides a unique experience that combines museum and recreation activities in the same place.

Discover a series of museum exhibitions and displays that tell the story of the region’s history including the Age of Steam Museum and Historic Hamlet.

The Historic Hamlet also contains History House which is home to the Manjimup Historical Society who collect, record, classifiTimber park historic buildings 3y and preserve records relating to the history of Manjimup and the region.

The recreation area boasts generous lawn space, gazebos, barbeques, tables,​ and plenty of shade underneath native vegetation. In the heart of the Park is an awe-inspiring 17m tall lookout with giant slide beside one of the best free inter-generational adventure playgrounds in Western Australia.

 

 

 

Fairbridge staff will support you to achieve your specific objectives through the design of programs for the students/participants for the camp and/or particular values on which you may want to concentrate.

Activities and programs are designed to links to the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority’s (SCSA) Western Australian Curriculum.
